Peyia, a traditional hillside village overlooking Coral Bay and the Paphos coastline, is only a few minutes drive away from the property. In the village you will find an ancient Church, tavernas and restaurants (serving traditional Greek food at a fraction of the cost compared with the main tourist areas), shops, supermarkets, pharmacy and a bank. The famous Phillipos supermarket puts many of the larger supermarkets to shame for price and for the variety of goods it sells! With its quaint narrow streets and alleyways the village is well worth a visit. A short drive from Peyia is the popular tourist resort of Coral Bay with an abundance of restaurants, shops, banks and a beautiful sandy beach and water sports. The lovely town and port of Paphos is approximately 15 minutes away with a daily market, a large selection of shops, restaurants, watermark and popular harbour with its own restaurants, cafes and bars. The villa is also ideally situated for exploring the nearby Akamas nature reserve (10 minutes drive although 4x4 vehicles are recommended), or taking a leisurely drive to the picturesque town of Polis and charming fishing village of Latchi, on the northwestern peninsular. |
